Yena Bassone-Quashie
Yena is a PhD candidate in the Environmental Applied Science and Management program at Toronto Metropolitan University. Prior to undertaking graduate studies, she worked as a professional engineer specializing in water resources engineering and the design and planning of stormwater management infrastructure for projects across Ontario. Her PhD research focuses on increasing flood resilience and improving climate adaptation and water policies in Ontario and Canadian municipalities through the use of adaptive infrastructure policy and planning tools and approaches. She is passionate about taking an interdisciplinary perspective to address complex water policy and planning challenges that are increasingly evident at the local level.
