Global Center Research Affiliates

The Global Center collaborates with a range of experts and researchers across a broad range of relevant subjects. The center is always looking to create a foster new connections in the fields of Indigenous relations, ecological restoration, conservation and water management, water law and policy, natural resource law and policy, and climate change. Our research affiliates act as our connections to these fields in individual projects. Research affiliates often partner with our undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students to act as a resource for information, a consultant on research findings, and a project sponsor.

Wild Rice and Wetland Research

Shane Lishawa, a Senior Research Associate at Loyola University Chicago, acts as our main external research associate on the wild rice and wetland projects.

Hydro-solidarity in the Rio Grande/ Bravo Basin

Francisco Lara-Valencia, a professor at Arizona State University School of Transborder Studies, act as an external researcher on the US/Mexico water and hydro-solidarity relationship.
