Dr. Rebecca Turpin

Rebecca Turpin brings to the Advisory Board nearly two decades of comprehensive experience in various governmental roles within Canadian federal and territorial domains. Her most recent appointment was as the Director of the Climate Change Secretariat within the Government of Yukon, a position she assumed in 2020.

Rebecca’s previous roles include serving as a Senior Program Officer with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, a Senior Policy Advisor, and an intergovernmental relations analyst at the Parks Canada Agency, as well as the Manager of Strategic Planning and Reporting with Polar Knowledge Canada. Her leadership extends to spearheading climate change-related policy formulation, notably shaping the Yukon’s recently bolstered climate, energy, and green economy strategy titled "Our Clean Future”.
