Parul Agarwala is a PhD student in the PhD in Policy Studies program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her Masters of Public Administration in International Economic Policy at Columbia University School of International Affairs, and Master of Planning in Land Use and Sustainability and Management in the School of Policy, Planning and Development at the  University of Southern California. She also holds a Bachelor of Planning in Land Use from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, India. Parul has over 15 years of experience working on environmental governance and international development leading projects addressing climate adaptation and community development. She has held positions as Country Program Manager and Regional Urban Specialist, United Nations Human Settlement Programme, India; Urban Specialist, Resilience and Institutional Capacity Building with The World Bank in Washington, DC and worked as an Associate City Planner New York City Department of City Planning. Parul’s PhD research focuses on water security in global cities facing climate change, water change, urbanization and technological change. As part of the CRTG team she will be focusing on climate change and water security.
