Dr. Debora VanNijnatten

Dr. Debora VanNijnatten is a Professor in the Department of Political Science, North American Studies and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is also Associate Director (Laurier) of the Balsillie School of International Affairs in Waterloo, Ontario. Dr. VanNijnatten's recent research has focused on the development of adaptive governance indicators for improving transboundary water governance in the Great Lakes and Rio Grande/Bravo regions, as well as how water governance might better respond to high levels of uncertainty under conditions of accelerating climate change. She is also working with colleagues on the US-Mexico border to better understand management challenges associated with transboundary aquifers.
