Becky Pearson

Rebecca (Becky) Pearson has over twenty years of experience in natural resource management and environmental policy. Previously, she served as a Coastal Management Specialist at CSS Inc. for NOAA’s Office of Coastal Management. In this role, she supported the implementation of Coastal Zone Management Act programs in Michigan and Minnesota, managed grants and cooperative agreements, and provided subject matter expertise on coastal management challenges such as habitat restoration, water quality, and green infrastructure.

Becky has also served as Chief Operations Officer at the Great Lakes Observing System, where her contributions included managing cooperative agreements, fiscal oversight, and supporting strategic initiatives across the bi-national Great Lakes region. Driven by a commitment to sustainable environmental solutions, she brought a collaborative approach to advancing projects that promote ecological health and community resilience. She has a Master’s Degree in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and a B. A. in French studies from Purdue University.
