Tariq Deen
Tariq Deen is a post-doctoral fellow working with the GCTW after completing a PhD in Geography at McMaster University’s School of Earth, Environment & Society (SEES). His research explores the impacts of climate change under future warming scenarios in the Six Nations of the Grand River reserve. Tariq’s work is supervised by Dr. Altaf Arain and is part of the Co-Creation of Indigenous Water Quality Tools project. Prior to starting his doctoral degree Tariq researched water security topics at the United Nations University - Institute for Water, Environment, and Health (UNU-INWEH). In addition to his research responsibilities, he is the Coordinator for the McMaster Centre for Climate Change (MCCC). Tariq has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences from McMaster University and a master’s degree in Climate Change from the University of Waterloo.
